The John F. Kennedy Student Paper Competition was established by the IAHR council in 1992 to honour the memory of Professor John F. Kennedy, IAHR president (1979-1983) and Honorary Member (1989-1991). Professor Kennedy made significant and lasting contributions to the Association, and is remembered particularly for his efforts to foster younger member membership and participation.
The Local Organizing Committee of the 38th IAHR World Congress and the International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR), are delighted to invite undergraduate and postgraduate students to participate in the John F. Kennedy Student Paper Competition during the World Congress.
All the undergraduate and postgraduate students that are participating in the 38th IAHR World Congress with oral or poster presentations can be part of the John F. Kennedy Student Paper Competition.
Submissions must be original works (not previously published elsewhere) and be sole-authored by a student only. Award papers must be innovative. A panel of judges appointed by the congress Local Organizing Committee (LOC) will select the winning paper. The papers will be judged based in the written and oral/poster presentations by an international panel of experts during the congress.
